The Elgin/St. Thomas Youth Employment Counselling Centre was successful in securing funding to increase physical activity and sport participation levels in Elgin County.
Youth in Action Elgin will:
- Increase physical activity and recreation for youth participants
- Provide leadership training and mentoring opportunities for teen participants
- Provide volunteer opportunities for youth
- Provide access to information on child and youth programming within Elgin County for youth participants and their families as well as the general public. Special target group for this information is low income families.
