Summer Job Services (SJS)/Student Services provide employers with opportunities to employ students while providing students opportunities to gain valuable work experience.
SJS/Student Services are available to employers and students not only during the summer months but also throughout the year.
SJS/Student Services provides employers with:
- Access to youth who are ready and willing to work
- A $2.00/hour student wage subsidy, available April to August
- Opportunities to post positions on our job boards
- Support and services throughout the year as well as the months leading up to the summer employment season
SJS/Student Services provide students with:
- Information, knowledge and skills to gain valuable work experience
- In school and on site presentations and workshops on job search and workplace orientation
- Access to local labour market information
- Access to job banks at one of our three locations
NOTE TO EMPLOYERS:
Funding for SJS 2012 has been confirmed, we are accepting applications for subsidy. Please fax completed appliciations to 519-633-5854, attention to Laurie or email to lfisherclarke@jobselgin.ca. Only fully completed applicaitons will be condiered. Application will be approved on a first come, first serve basis.
